Which USB Fax Modem will Work on Server 2016?

We have a client that needs a fax server setup for them.
We just purchased a new ProLiant DL325 Gen10 server running server 2016.

We tried installing a Fax modem on one of the PCI slots on the server but did not like it. Server would crash.

We now want to go with a USB fax modem and found a business class USB fax modem. It is a Multi-tech USB Modem MT9234ZBA-USB-CDC-XR.

Does anyone know if this will work on Server 2016?

Or would anyone know of a USB modem that will work?

You would need to try it . Faxes on servers do not appear much, so you would been to try. My own luck with US Robotics has been very poor in past

Thanks John!!  Actually when I went to download the driver there was a window that popped up. and it stated that the driver is good for windows 10 and server 2016.

I think the MT9234ZBA-USB-CDC-XR will work!!
I have used US Robitics modems the past 25 years and have found them to perform very well and widely supported by software & hardware vendors.  Every case is unique so it is worth trying.  Amazon seems to have it for $60 and CDW seems to have it for $66.

Thanks MLV CM  But I think the us robotics Fax modem you showed is more for Portable use.
I think a business class fax modem would work much better for setting up a fax server for our clients.
Unless you have used it before in a business environment and it works really good for your clients.
You need try the card type modem and see if that works
I already tried a PCI x1 Card and it crashed the server.
I couldn't find any pci express x16 3.0  fax modems out there

I think the USB should work
I have used that modem for fax servers that had already maxed out serial and card modems and it was rock solid.  As John mentioned faxing is not really a big thing these days so there are less hardware resources out there.  Black Box has always been good with getting weird things like this but it will cost a premium.
Try the USB card.  In 20 years of consulting, none of my clients used Fax Modems. So you probably won't see much experience in here. Try it and see.
ok we ordered Multi-Tech USB and will let you know the results
