Why does the MAC screen go suddenly blue, after I logged into it? Steps, I logged into the MAC, instead of seeing the usual desktop picture, I saw a blue screen for a few seconds.

Dose it stay blue?  Are you able to log in?


Reset the SMC and the PRAM to see if that fixes it.

SMC Reset:
Unplug power
Press and hold left shift control option and the power button.
Release.

SMC reset for macbook (pro) with a non user serviceable battery
Plug in power
shut off laptop
Press and hold left shift control option and the power button.
Release.


PRAM reset
start computer
Press and hold command option p r
Wait for 3 chimes (older systems)
Look at the screen and watch for it to "flicker" on 3 times (newer systems no longer chime)
Release and continue to boot.

Apple forums suggest this is a file permission problem with a suggested fix of running Disk Utility + Repair Disk, then reboot to see if problem has cleared.

Only a real problem if Mac stops on blue screen.
