Trying to sync emails across three Apple devices

Hi Folks:

I have a client who wants to be able to sync her emails from three email accounts on her iPhone, iPad and a MacBook and possibly a Windows PC system. She wants to be able to retrieve emails from any device and if she deletes an email using one device she wants it to be deleted from all other devices.

I believe that she is trying to accomplish this using "iCloud" - I am not familiar at all with iCloud and only minimally with Apple products as I deal with PC's and Android mostly and thus need some help with this matter.

Two of the email addresses are from her own domain - i.e. me@mydomain.com while the third email address is from a major provider - i.e. me@sympatico.ca

We have set up the email accounts on each of the devices and they all can send and receive appropriately, noiw we need to figure out how to sync the devices.

I would note that the Windows PC device is the least critical and if it can't be handled easily we can abandon this one.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi Dave,

For the most part, all you should need to do is setup the accounts and they should sync automatically with each other.
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201320
https://support.apple.com/guide/mail/add-or-remove-email-accounts-mail35803/mac

eg
If your client gets a new email on their iphone and later deletes it on their macbook, the email should disappear on all other devices.  The same should go for calendar, contacts, etc as long as each device is authorized during the account setup process.

re: PC
The client should be able to go to https://www.icloud.com/ and manage their emails there and any actions there will update for the other devices too.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks for the quick response... so essentially I do not need to use iCloud in any way … just set each device to use the various emails as an IMAP account on the server and regardless of which device connects to which Email account it will sync everything on the server so that later another device will see the same things or not in the case of deleted email?
Correct.
Yes. Deleted syncs too. The trash is just another folder and it will sync too.

The only issue is storage capacity on each device. There are some controls on iOS to limit how much email is sync’d to the device but bear that in mind.
Many thanks to both of you who responded. I haven't been on Experts-Exchange in a while so it appears the points system has changed somewhat.

Most appreciative for the fast responses and confirmations.

Cheers … Dave Melnyk
