My LG monitor keeps shutting off after 15 mins or so. Why?
I am using an LG monitor model # 24EN33 which has worked well for me for some years now. Picture is great.
But there's a setting I'm missing or SOMETHING that is eluding me that drives me nuts.
When I walk away from my desk, after a short period of time (I estimate 15-20 minutes or so), the monitor shuts itself off. The computer is still on. If I hit the on/off button on the monitor, it comes back and the screen display is the same one I had before it went off.
I have looked through the LG manual for this monitor and just can't seem to find the info that I need to STOP the monitor from shutting off as I have described.
What am I not seeing here?
(No pun intended!)

In addition to the suggestion above (most likely I think) also try resetting the monitor power save mode.

Oops, forgot to mention this monitor is hooked up o a Windows 7 operating system.
Windows 7 also has similar settings for power management
It can be found in Control Panel
It can be found in Control Panel
you can also test with another monitor, to see if the problem comes from the monitor, or the PC

Thanks to all and especially to Jackie who provided the easiest solution that worked without having to do a lot !
NO thanks to Microsoft, which continues to tweak and twist things in both operating systems and locations of controls many times including between major updates. They will never learn that change for the sake of change, or change primarily for the sake of looking hip and contemporary, is a user detriment, not a cool benefit.

I told you to go to power options in control panel and change the settings for your monitor..
But ok...

Ron,
Sorry you feel slighted but the fact of the matter is that there is no clearly defined "power option" choice in the control panel on my computer. This is why I said what I said about Microsoft's idiotic tinkering with their operating systems.
The page that the link Jackie provided took me to made it visually extremely easy to find what I needed to tweak in a matter of moments. I am, unfortunately, one of those users who needs what an expert probably considers to be an idiotically simple explanation for things that are super simple for them.
No offense intended.

Agreed.

In Windows 10, search for power and sleep settings in the Cortana search box..
Adjust them to turn off the screen "Never".
