Can I revert back to old ssl certificate
If new ssl certificate does not work on my ADFS server

Also might be good if you expand some on what "new ssl certificate does not work on my ADFS server" means.
Also post your ADFS server, as how your version supports certs may be the real issue.
Certs can have many related complexities.
A simple test is to secure a public Website with your cert, then run https://www.ssllabs.com/ss ltest/ against the site. This will tell you if there really are problems with your cert or problems with some other software being used possibly requires an update to fix the problem.
There've been several recent EE questions which tracked back to a problem with software version being unable to support newer clients, when newer clients only supported TLSv1.2 + TLSv1.3 protocols.
This might might relate to your situation.
