setup a group in office 365 for email distribution

I want to setup an email account that responses to will be delivered to 5 other email addresses?  Is this to be setup as a group or just a forward to the other addresses?  We are using office 365.

Are you saying that you would like to have all emails to this account automatically forwarded to 5 others? This would be setup using a rule. File>Manage Rules and Alerts. Follow the steps in the wizard to build your criteria
another option is to either setup a Distribution Group or a Shared Mailbox.

- Distribution group can be used with internal or external addresses, but you have to make the group available to accept messages from outside if that is required.  everyone will get the message.

- Shared mailbox is great if you want to keep track of all messages received and replies from that address.  you just have to add the members to that group and everyone will have that shared mailbox show up in their outlook as a separate mailbox.

Will it show up as a separate inbox?
If you give them full access...yes it will automap and show up as a seperate inbox.
If you need them to respond as the mailbox you will have to
1. Give the user's sendas access
2. Add the "From" button to their outlook clients then add click the dropdown from the "From" button and click "other email address" and add the shared mailbox.
