Erratic output with dual monitors

I am having an issue a workstation connected to two monitors one of them being a TV. We have a smart TV mounted on the wall of one of our rooms for presentations. The input to the TV is controlled by a small video controller in our datacenter which in turn connects to the HDMI connector on the workstation in the data center. The workstation has two video outputs. The other output, which is VGA goes to the KVM. I want to use the KVM to connect to the workstation to control what's displayed on the TV. It's a window 10 so I have it set for multiple displays. The VGA output is erratic and keeps flashing on and off. If I go to the display settings and select an option and try to make a change it keeps going back and forth between the main display screen and the selection I make but the display does not stay stable long enough for me to make any changes. I want to display the same content on both.

KVM issues where display is erratic is likely bandwidth related. How are KVM and in DC and KVM near TV display connected? Cable length / link speed? What KVM devices do you have? Can you try lowering the VGA resolution on the workstation? Does the KVM have a separate powersupply or any gain settings?

I got the display stable by swapping the video control unit that controls the TV and changing the multiple monitor setting from extended to display same content. when I Remote Desktop to the workstation it does not show the desk top. on the second display. If I connect using the KVM in the data center the desktop shows on the second display. The idea is to have certain users rdp to the workstation and select content that needs to be viewed on the second display in the conference room. Can I get this to work from an rep session?
