Desktop full of image files (camera) which copy themselves when I try to transfer to folders.
Windows 10 OS.
Copying 100 image files from a camera (using flashdrive) to a Folder on my desktop the following happened:
Somehow or other the 100 images ended up on my desktop (not the Folder). When I tried to move them into the Folder these 100 files began to copy themselves, with the result that my desktop has now almost 200 files, half of them copies. How do i sort out this situation (without losing the images from the camera flash drive).

If the images still remain on your USB device, delete all copies from your computer + do a copy again.
