Unable to start VM due to VMFS error and Logical Volume 2 on HSPA1 RAID 0 11177GB DIsc 2,3,4 failed
Receiving the following error when I tried to restart my VM:
Cannot open the disk '/vmfs/volumes/55fb6cc5-06 834bbb-558 f-009c02a8 359a/AJSWA N001/AJSWA N001_5.vmd k.
After doing more troubleshooting it looks like one of my RAIDs failed. See attachment.

Looks like the datastore is missing.. Can you check the vmkernel.log and try to rescan VMFS volumes on ESXi host
Please engage VMware Support if possible as the datastore is missing, they can check the vmkernel.log and identify the problem. Isolate the behavior and then reload the VM

Can you please send directions on how to rescan the VMFS volume on ESxi host.
Open the vSphere Web Client.
Select the ESXi/ESX hosts.
Right-click and select Actions > All vCenter Actions > Rescan Storage.
Specify the extent of the rescan, the options are:
Scan for New Storage Devices - Rescan all adapters to discover new storage devices.
Scan for New VMFS Volumes - Rescan all storage devices to discover new datastores that have been added since the last scan.
Monitor the progress of the rescan task in the Work In Progress tab on the right.

When I type vmkernel.log under /var/log/vmkernel.log - I get sh: /var/log/vmkernel.log: Permission denied
