How to RDP over VPN

I hear that the best way to RDP is via VPN.

I purchased NordVPN.

How would one RDP over this VPN pipe?

Are you saying that a user would, at the end of the day, really VPN into their work VPN server and then, from there, be able to establish a RDP connection to their workstation?
So you can't really do an endpoint to endpoint connection and then pull up RDP.
Someone would want to use something like TeamViewer instead?
NordVPN and other public VPN providers protect the data stream from your computer to the vpn endpoint you select.  Only good for getting around content restrictions to certain geolocations AND protecting your connection when on an insecure network i.e. local free wifi.

A typical business would have a vpn set up at their internet input/output point and the client would use something like cisco anyconnect to connect to this vpn.
Thank you David
Quite welcome.. The Advertisements I see on TV tend to give the impression that using a public VPN service will protect their personal information which it will but a lot more limited than what they imply in their advertising.
Yes your ISP will not see your DNS requests and any other DNS server will only see requests from the VPN endpoint. All traffic from you to the vpn endpoint will be encrypted BUT your credit card information and other PII will depend upon the security of the web service you are connecting to.. i.e. it will not protect you from the FaceBook data breaches or other any website data breach. i.e. Experian's massive breach
