Usually deploying a MSI is quite easy.

normally MS Office templates are distributed via a share on the network  and you set your GPO for Office to point this location.
If you do not have the Office ADMX/ADML installed for the version you have you can download it from Microsoft.

Once installed on your DC you will user the setting:
User Configuration | Administrative Templates | Microsoft Office xxxx system | Security Settings | Trust Center
User Configuration | Administrative Templates | Microsoft Office xxxx system | Shared paths
Point it to the network share and the users will see an option in all Office application under File | New | Share
