Set a password on a printer

A staff in school is complaining that people come and use her pc and print stuff and she want the printing stuff to stop for them.

Is there a way to set a password on the printer every time it needs to print ?

If it's a shared PC, isn't it also a shared printer?

There's no practical way to prevent someone from using a printer attached to the machine they're sitting at.  If they were using a network share to print to the printer it might be a different story.  Maybe she can take the USB cable with her when she leaves her desk?

It's not a shared pc. It is attached via usb to her pc
Yes. It is very much possible and please find the steps as mentioned in the below URL

Set PIN for print Jobs
The capability Ashvin is referring to is built into the printer/printer driver and is no a Windows capability.  In other words, his solution will work for only a few printers.  It may be the printer you're dealing with has this capability, but the odds are against it.
Is it possible to create a guest account and disable printing ?
