Onenote backup folders '16.0\backup' and '14.0\backup', can I delete it

HI,

I was checking my disk space and saw that a onenote backup folder was at least 10gb large.  The folder is 'C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OneNote\16.0\Backup' .  Yet, another folder 'C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OneNote\14.0\Backup' was empty (also in the "14.0" folder was a 'OneNoteOfflineCache_Files' folder which in all the "14.0" contents was 45mb).

Can I delete both folders of,
'C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OneNote\16.0\Backup'
'C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OneNote\14.0\Backup' ?

or what is recommended for managing these backups?

Thank you.

I would copy the most recent backup to another drive or USB hard drive and then, yes, delete the backups

No other consideration? I mean maybe onenote apps needs to see data there?

Here is a good "how to" for backing up One Note files that may help you.

https://support.office.com/en-ie/article/back-up-notes-f58b34b0-611d-435e-87fa-7942a1767af4

I sync my One Note files to my other computer and have One Note on two machines. That works very well
Your question was :Onenote backup folders ..   can I delete it"

Yes.

But you need a backup strategy of some sort, preferably on another backup device (USB Hard Drive or as I do).

So that is why I left you the documentation on backing up.
