need to translate a pdf or word doc from English to Spanish

I am looking for some translation software from English to Spanish for a PDF or Word Doc I have.  Is there any free software to do this or any good paid ones that would be able to do this for me?

I have done this with one page of the pdf file and on 2 computers all it gives me is a blank page.
Attach a copy of your Word Document.

Might be this file is corrupt in some way.

You can always just cut + paste all the content in to a text file + test translation of the text.

If this works, likely the file is slightly malformed/corrupt.

You can also try opening the document with Word or LibreOffice, then saving the document, then uploading the saved document.

Sometimes this fixes minor corruption problems.
worked with a word doc.  Thanks!

My guess is that it is an image-only PDF...hence, no text for Google Translate to process. You could use (free!) OCR to create a searchable PDF, as described in this five-minute EE video Micro Tutorial:
How to OCR pages in a PDF with free software - PDF-XChange Editor

Feeding the OCR'ed PDF to Google Translate should work, since it will now have text to process. Or...

Yes, as that no doubt has text. Regards, Joe
