Expansion of datastore not complete.

I have a 16 TB storage fibre and I added 8 TB more and I tried to expand current datastore from ESXi 6.5 I selected custom 4TB and it shows now 20TB.
But now I cannot use the remaining 4TB anyone can help me add that and make it useful.

If you now select Increase Datastore do you have 4TB available as unclaimed to expand into?

No
It's possible it cannot use it to expand into because of it's location/layout e.g. not contiguous.

Can we undo the expansion and redo with 2 volumes?
I mean delete 8TB volume and create 2 4TB volumes and expand 2 LUNs from ESXi

Many thanks for your reply.

Are you sure that this (and your previous MSA2050 expansion question) aren't just manifestations of the storage box presenting the LUN before background scrubbing is complete? I'm not an expert on the 2050 but previous Dot Hill clone MSAs have allowed you to present the LUN early so the OS install program can see it but actually writing to it times out until the scrub is complete.
