Can FileZilla be used to synchronize a folder on a remote server to a local folder?

The user connects to a host using FileZilla with a SFTP connection.
Every day the host adds files to a folder, and the contents of the folder is downloaded to a folder on their Windows Server.

This is being done by a user at the moment.
Can FileZilla be automated so that it can have the folder on the local server receives all the new files placed on the server?

Thanks.

Hello,

FileZilla does not support automatic file/folder synchronization:
https://trac.filezilla-project.org/ticket/1591

If you need automatic folder synchronization, you have to use a different FTP/SFTP client. Explained in below article.

For example WinSCP supports directory synchronization:

If you have a secure non-FTP connection, Sync Back Pro will allow you to synchronize files between remote and local systems. I use Sync Back Pro (2brightsparks.com)

You can use WS_FTP to schedule new files per this article below
https://community.ipswitch.com/s/article/How-do-I-automate-a-transfer-of-files-with-WS-FTP-Pro-where-the-only-files-I-want-are-ones-with-the-current-date-and-or-time-stamp-specified-in-the-name

I have WS_FTP but I much prefer Sync Back Pro for the kind of work you are proposing.

Another great (and free) tool to do this would be FreeFtpSync, easy to setup and use.
