Want Simple Video Editing Software

I am looking for a Video Editor that runs on Windows 10. The specific function I want to performs to open an existing video and cut out perhaps 10 "clips", saving eact cut out clip as a separate video file. The input file is mp4.

I acquired Windows Video Editor 2019. I can kind of get the gist of how to define a clip, it's excruciatingly hard. Then, you get it defined & click OK, it disappears. I am trying to work wth their tech support, does not look good.

My background is long & extensive in programming, systems development, databases, etc. I have limited graphics experience, I use Paint Shop Pro for graphcs.

My question is two fold: (1) Anyone out there in the EE community who knows Windows Video Editor 2019 & can help with that?

Recommendation(s) as to a VERY SIMPLE to learn & intuitive video editing package not too expensive.

Thanks

Paul, I think it's the free version. I can't find where I paid for it in my credit card accounts. I've only had it for like a week.

Bill Prew, I'll try the Windows 10 Hidden Video Editor.

Thanks
Bill,

That works pretty good.

Is there a more detailed reference than that? For example, I did not realize this initially, but I need to add text to clips that stays there for the whole clip, the ability to merge two clips, etc.

Thanks,

Richard

I'm not aware of a useful comprehensive guide for that tool, your best bet may be specific Google searches for certain features you want to try and explore.  I guess Microsoft figures we can all figure it out without any help or documentation...

Bill,

The way of the world now. With everything internet or computers. Figure it out, you are on your own..............

We are going down a VERY BAD path.

I figured the text, but it puts in dead center, better if I could move, maybe somehow?

Thanks
For text I only see a handful of positioning options (a menu of icons at the bottom of that tool).  Looks like center, top center, bottom center, left side and right side.

Yeah, I saw that documented somewhere. I didn't notice that at first.

Thanks,

Richard
