Dynamics 365 Online 9.1

We have Parent Business Units that own multiple Sub Business Units.  The Sub Units own Connections that show accounts, contacts and opportunities.  The Parent BUs, however, cannot see the accounts, contacts and opportunities visible to the Sub Unit Connections.

What changes need to be done to this structure to allow Parent BUs to see the accounts, contacts and opportunities visible to their Sub Unit Connections?

Hi apollo7,

You have to assign appropriate security role to the user and that role must have Parent Child BU Scope.

From: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-engagement/admin/security-roles-privileges

Deep. This access level gives a user access to records in the user's business unit and all business units subordinate to the user's business unit.

Users who have Deep access automatically have Local and Basic access, also.

Because this access level gives access to information throughout the business unit and subordinate business units, it should be restricted to match the organization's data security plan. This level of access is usually reserved for managers with authority over the business units.

The application refers to this access level as Parent: Child Business Units.

Regards,
Chinmay.
