Editing 3rd party plugin and preventing it being overwritten upon update
I have edited a plugin file and made just 2 line changes. However, as soon as I update the plugin that will be undone. How can I edit a plugin and prevent the changes being overwritten upon update?
I don't think you can protect your change to a plugin. I know for themes you create a Child theme, but for plugins I don't believe there is such a solution. I always save my change to txt documents and reapply them after updating.
