Hello,

Ive been tasked with finding and reporting all servers running SCCM or Hyper-V hosts.

Is SCCM the best way to find this information or would powershell be a better option?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks!

sccm can for sure find this information for you (assuming all your clients are healthy of course)

to find sccm servers, here is the query

select SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceID,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceType,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Name,SMS_R_SYSTEM.SMSUniqueIdentifier,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Client from SMS_R_System   where SMS_R_System.SystemRoles = 'SMS Site System' or SMS_R_System.ResourceNames in (Select ServerName FROM SMS_DistributionPointInfo)

for the Hyper-V servers here is the query

select *  from  SMS_R_System inner join SMS_G_System_SERVICE on SMS_G_System_SERVICE.ResourceId = SMS_R_System.ResourceId where SMS_G_System_SERVICE.DisplayName = "Hyper-V Virtual Machine Management"
