Quickbooks Server Access is Slow

One of my client's Quickbooks access gets slow when multiple users access to server where QB is hosted. I checked the processing power available, and RAM, CPU, and Ethernet usage is between 10%-20%, so that shouldn't be the cause of the issue. Other users accessing files on the server don't seem to be having any issues.

Rebooting either the workstation or the server seems to help, although it can be tedious to reboot on a regular basis as it's proved to need.

Any ideas on how to keep Quickbooks running at it's best?

One user has issues, others do not - you said above.

Make sure the Server make sure that it is running, it is the same version as Desktop QuickBooks, and that Server QB services are all running.  

Then, reinstall QuickBooks on the client machine.

If all that fails and it is just one user, you may need to rebuild their computer.

Only one user is accessing QB. The QB server also hosts files such as Word and Excel docs, and the users don't have any issues when they access those.

It runs well, until multiple people start connecting to the server for various tasks, or if the server/workstations haven't been shut down in awhile (1 week).

Yes. I understand, but if all the QB workers are fine except for this one, this user's workstation is suspect.

You could try an operating system Repair Install to see if that helps

There is only one QB worker, everyone else is simply accessing files on the same server from a mapped drive. The QB user is the only one experiencing issues.

I am not clear. Do you mean other users can use the SAME computer as the problem user with no issue?

Or do you mean one computer of several is having issues?

I understand the server is working correctly

The server hosts both files and QB. Only one user accessed QB, and encounters slowness with just QB when other users are accessing files on the server from their own computers.

So that means one computer is a problem workstation as I mentioned earlier.

Try reinstalling QB on this problem computer.
Then try an operating system Repair Install.
Finally, if both the above fail, rebuild the problem computer.

I ran the Quickbooks diagnostic tool downloaded from the QB website on both the host and client computers. The client computer came back fine, but I got .net framework errors upon activation of .net framework 3.5 and 4.62.

I then manually installed the two .net frameworks having issues on the host computer which runs Windows Server 2016 Essentials through the Server Manager. I then re-ran the diagnostic tool and the .net framework 3.5 error is now resolved, though I am still having issues with 4.62. Since the fix I haven't had any issues with slowness, so we seem to be good to go, at least for now.
