Chrome location detection wrong

Hi
We have a small annoying issue with location detection for some of our remote office workers when using google chrome.  For some reason this site only (no DNS servers on site) are picking up an old location but the location appears to tally with AD site and services.
The other two sites (with DNS Servers local) are picking up differing locations.

Bing works fine.

Ideas as to whether this is DNS, Web filtering, AD sites and services or simply google?

Thanks

Location detection tracks IP, so if you're using any type of VPN + many cell networks, then your location will be wrong, if you're defaulting to Geo of IP being used.

This is why Google provides a facility to set your Geo, because at this point, there's no accurate way to determine your Geo.

We are using cisco umbrella which creates a vpn tunnel.  We also have a site to site vpn back to our two other sites.
The www traffic shouldn't be traversing either of these and going straight out from the site.  The IP address is the IP of the firewall according to whatsmyip.com

to clarify, does whatsmyip for this site show the internet ip for this site's own internet connection  or an ip for another of your sites/proxies?

Where does whatsmyip think the IP is physically located?
Depending on your internet providor, some IPs are based at a generic location by default and do not necessarly reflect where each customer's line is.

Hi,
Sorry but I wasn't asking where your physical kit is. I'm asking what geo-location the ISP has assigned to the IP address.

Enter your IP into the link provided and advise where it identifies in comparison to where you feel it should be.

if you're lucky it may just be an update your ISP needs to apply to your external IP address.

Still persists.  Assuming DNS related in some way.
