Moving a Windows 10 VM to a new internal disk

I am running VMware® Workstation 15 Pro 15.0.4 build-12990004. The host PC is running Windows 7 Professional, 64-bit 6.1.7601, Service Pack 1

There is a Windows 10 Professional 64 bit O/S VM on an internal SSD disk (Version 1803  OS build 17134.706) which is running low on disk space.
I plan to add an additional (larger) internal SSD disk and want to move the VM onto the new disk. The prospect of having to un-install and re-install the software development environment is a bit daunting which is why I would like to move the existing VM.
Will there be any issues with Microsoft Licensing/Validation ? Are there built- in capabilities in VMware Workstation to provide for moving a VM from one disk to another internal and retaining the same Host System ?

True the above. I do this, MOVE the machines and the activation goes with it. No issues
As long as you select the correct choice between "I copied it" and "I moved it" (select the second one) your registration will be ok.
I did move my vms yesterday and used Win7 after moving it - have had no problem with it.
and if you want to know why you should select "I copied it" and "I moved it" see my EE Article, which is also relevant for VMware Workstation as well as it's "Big Daddy" ESXi.

HOW TO: Select the right answer to "I Moved It" or "I Copied It" in VMware vSphere (ESXi)

Thanks for you comments.
I plan to make the change in the next few days when I've received the new SSD.
Am I correct in assuming that when the VM is moved to the new SSD, the additional disk space will be automatically be available to the VM ?

No. You've already defined the configuration of the virtual machine when you created it, WHY would the virtual machine configuration automatically change, just because you move the virtual machine from one disk on the host to another disk on the host with more free disk space....

The virtual machine does not know where it is hosted...

You need to change the VM configuration for it to take advantage of the new free space on the disk in the host.
Thanks for the comment Andrew.
