NOC as a service

Dears,

i would like to know , if a client mentions that he needs us to provide NOC services , does he mean that

1. Design NOC for the client
2. NOC as a service for the client

if either for 1 or 2 , what all components are considered like tools etc

any links for me to refer to

NOC normally means Network Operating Center...

And... best to just ask this person what they mean... as surely they don't mean they'd like you to setup a multi-million dollar NOC for them.

Likely what this person means is some specific service(s) provided by a NOC.

You'll likely require asking many questions to understand what this person is truly requesting.

Hello David,

Thanks for your valuable comment . His request was some one to remotely check the status and do the needful resolution .

Hence i am confused , as my colleagues renamed this request as ' NOC as a Service' . I am not sure , if this is the right terminology .

They are looking for you manage their requests similar to a helpdesk, same thing some NOCs provide.
