Raising Windows Forest Functional Level Directly From 2008 To 2019 (2016)?

Concerned about anomalies raising forest functional level directly from Windows Server 2008 to 2016 (2019 really). I'm trying to minimize impact on network (should I even do this while company's in production & open for business...it's small with 20 users, nevertheless).

Raising functional level doesn't impact anything. It just activates the schema additions associated with that functional level so the features can be used. I have never seen a functional level increase cause issues.
I raised the functional level many times and it never caused an issue.

I just did it yesterday when updating the PCI infrastructure.  Updated the 2008 servers to 2019 and raised the forest and domain funtional levels to 2016 (the highest).
