g-suite basic email accounts backup
Dear Experts
We are having google G-suite Basic, would like to take backup of few users mail box (inbox, sent ) as a policy we have to keep emails of every user for one the period of one year please suggest the best practice on backup and archival for g-suite basic, if we have to procure any software please do suggest, thanks in advance.

For takeout, I think you will need to log in to the user account.
For vault, admin can do it.

Thank you very much, we have 30 users but I would like to purchase vault for key email accounts which of 8 users, is this possible and also when service is added i can see ON for everyone , if done this all will have vault, can you please help me on how to activate for few users only, thanks.
You will need to disable the setting "Auto-assign the following license to all currently unassigned users and users subsequently created"

Thank you very much, can you please help me understand on following
1. will both incoming and sent messages be backed-up/archived and also is it possible to backup/archive the deleted message.
2. the above sl 1 can happen in 2 ways a) user operating via web interface b) user could have configured email client ms outlook as a pop account where messages are stored on their system hence incoming and sent are in their system.
can you please help me understand how this works and practices on the effective way to backup messages.
