Need to set up dual boot between Windows 10 and Ubuntu

Need documentation on setting up dual boot between Windows 10 Pro and Ubuntu. It will be on a newer laptop UEFI if it make a difference.

You could also consider a VM so you can run both, one inside the other (no need to reboot).  VMWare (paid) or VirtualBox (Free) are both great products for this.
I prefer and suggest VMware Workstation (or Hyper-V) and install Ubuntu as a VM on a Windows 10 host.  I do that here.

This agrees with the above post.
install windows on a partition that does nog cover thd whole drive and install ubuntu afterwards. Select the grub boot manager. Grub will detect the windows system and allow to boot it.

Regarding systems that can run in one-another virtualised :

- this does not work with windows afaik : the emulated hardware is too different from the virtual one. I have not tried with windows 10 though. And it breaks the license.

- make sure your ubuntu machine NEVER mounts the windows ntfs partition while the windows vm is running. This would break the whole partition and destroy all the data it contains most likely within minutes
