My Google searches seem to have been hijacked

Every query comes up Search Encrypt

And the contents are not Google search results.

What's going on??

Possibly you have that installed and it is no longer working correctly?

In line with the above, and from my own experience, uninstall (remove) ALL Chrome extensions, then uninstall Chrome, restart the computer, install Chrome (no extensions at this point) and test Chrome Search. Does it work?

First, check for any strange programs installed on your computer. Uninstall those THEN remove the strange extensions installed in Chrome. Once you've done that, you might need to reset some of your Chrome settings.

You can remove extensions in Settings.  Here is a good tutorial

Don't forget to check for spyware... that happens to be one of many sources of strange extensions.
