Need help configuring SolarWinds NTA and NPM
We have SolarWinds NTA and NPM installed but our devices are not sending flow information (that's what Solarwinds told me) to the database. e.g. Netflow Sources.
We are the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles, non-profit. I do not have much money to spend so I am hoping someone is willing to help us get this configured properly?
I can pay a little.

I did contact SW, they said the devices needed configuration, not NTA.
Where is the tool to configure Netflow export router? We use Sonicwall if that helps

Assisted install:
Call your sales rep, ask if he'll set up a session with one of our SE's to talk over your design. There's a very good chance they'll help point you in the right direction.
The "assisted installation" (where an engineer actually looks over your shoulder (via webex) as you're installing) is another thing to ask for. Yes, you have already done the install, but it's not working. And you're considering just re-doing the install.
yes you are.
YES. YOU. ARE.
So if they can set up an assisted installation, they would see where you are currently stuck, and be able to point you in the right direction.
Free Tools
For what it's worth, all of the FREE free tools (free as in puppies, not beer) are here: https://www.solarwinds.com/free-tools.
The NetFlow Configurator is here:

And if you have specific challenges ("I get to the XYZ screen but I can't put in my ABC information"), posting it here or on the "smack-upside-the-head" forum will get you very far, indeed.

I get it "yes you are". I am currently working with the licensing (for over 3 hours) trying to get NTA and NPM activated.
Thanks for the advice.

sorry for not posting. I had to build a new server. Everything is installed but the Sonicwall still needs configuration to send Netflow data. Solarwinds won't help with that. They did send me the article for the commands it needs to send, however, my Firewall guy is very busy.
Can you help?

Second, there is a free tool specifically to help configure your netflow export router.
Finally, the "success center" (support.solarwinds.com) has a bunch of docs on this. You aren't alone in this. Lots of folks struggle with in.
There's also the website that sounds like a smack upside the head.
DM me if you need more help.
