The right HDMI cables for UHD

I got a new 8000 series Samsung, 65" TV... Very nice.

Was told that HDMI cables will make or break your picture / Sound quality, So I went to a local Brick and Mortar and found HDMI, 2.1, 8', for about $11.00 each.

Make a long story short, when I could not get the system (DVD/Blue-Ray to Sony AMP) to "See" the DVD player, I figured it was time for a new Player.

Then, I put back on my older RocketFish cable (About 5 years old), and it worked fine.

I figured that 2.1 was 2.1, and that is all that mattered. But I now have come to the conclusion that even specked out properly, 2.1 might not be good enough, depending upon who's you get.

So, where can I go to get a good cable, and know that it's good before I throw away the receipt thinking "I couldn't go wrong", since I got the right specification of cable???
