I used to have HP image editor and inadvertently uninstalled it. It had superb editing features for editing scans of text documents. Is there some way to get it back on my system which is not an HP computer?

masq,

I downloaded the file you indicated and it looked similar to what I used to have. I tried to edit an image and got an error. A picture of the error is attached.

Try disabling hpqthb08.exe in your Startup settings (either MSCONFIG or Task Manager depending on Windows version)

I tried the software on a local image not in dropbox and received the same error. I renamed hpqthb08.exe so that it wouldn't be included in the compile and still got an error on the same executable.

It runs as a service, are you sure it is disabled?

I renamed all instances of the executable so it couldn't be available
