VM says Ethernet0 doesn't have a valid IP configuration

My VM loses connectivity throughout my day, and when I do a repair, it says, Ethernet0 doesn't have a valid IP configuration ------ Fixed, but its not permanent.

I'd like a permanent solution.

Thank you,
Mark

Is this a P2V or V2V Conversion with VMware Converter ?

Do you have VMware Tools installed and the network interface in use is the VMXNET3?

What is the OS ?

What is the Hypervisor ? VMware ?

Is this a P2V or V2V Conversion with VMware Converter ?  Dont know.  This is just workstation 15

Do you have VMware Tools installed and the network interface in use is the VMXNET3? yes, and dont know

What is the OS ? 10

What is the Hypervisor ? VMware ?  workstation 15
vm is a vm created on a laptop from Vmware's file when we bought it
You tried removing the network interface from VM Settings, and re-adding ?

What networking are you using Bridged or NAT ?

in the VM static or dhcp ?
Plz tell me how to find those
adapter is nat
Okay, so this is a NAT network setup.

Did you remove the network interface and re-add to the VM ?

Also is the OS set to DHCP or Static ?
Andrew, I have no idea.  I only installed the VM and am using it.  I didnt change any defaults
Still need assistance with this plz
Set the Network Interface to Bridged.

Remove the network interface in the OS

Set it to DHCP
Please clarify.  I set the vm's connection to bridged.  How do you remove the NW interface on the OS?  Our computers are already set to DHCP
Remove the network interface from the VM settings and then remove the phantom hidden interface from the OS
Sorry Andrew, I have ZERO idea what you're saying.  Please clarify.  Thank you
in the VMware VM settings delete the interface.

this is the first step also check that the IP address is NOT in use it may be worth assigning a new static address very different to the IP being assigned by DHCP
There's no delete, but there is "Remove".  Is that what you meant?  And after it's gone will I still have NW connectivity?  I cant just stop working
Andrew, plz watch this and comment what you think
