Canceling Website, domain name and email

Mags used Ask the Experts™
Hello all...I am getting ready to retire. I no longer will be needing my website. I probably need to transfer my domain name and am in contact with SiteKreator now with whom I have my website with. (Whois attached). I would like to keep my domain name and email for a little while then probably redirect it to the gentleman who will be assisting my customers.

I access my email through G Suite. I believe I am grandfathered in with Google as I set it up with them when it was free. If I need to transfer my domain name how will that affect my email...or will it?

Thanks a million...especially for all your help all of these years!

For a 100% correct answer you'll open a support ticket with Google.

You can always forward your email to a free Gmail account also, if $5/month for GSuite is unacceptable.

I agree with David above.  I have a domain name which I will not need soon and my Registrar in Toronto will remove it for me.

Thanks guys...I'll be in touch!

If you have used this email address with web sites for login, don't forget to change the email address in all those accounts before ending completely your email address (for security reason and to be able to reset password).
Okay, I heard back from Site Kreator and they said, "The email account associated with the domain is not hosted on our servers, the domain is configured for Google Mail." That change must have been made when I set up Google Mail. I will keep your information should everything crash!

Thanks for the reminder lenamtl...I've be doing that but great idea to reset my password!
