How to Copy a windows 2016 server on a VMware VSphere 6.0

Hi

We use VMware Vsphere 6.0 and I have a Windows 2016 template server which is in a powered off state. At the moment I want to copy this server and build for the purpose of new role and would like to keep the master copy Windows 2016 template server.
If I copy the 2016 template server, will the copied sever have a separate MAC address?

Please post me the steps and best way to achieve this.

Thanks

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Create a Template. (if you have a vSphere Template)

Right Click your Master and Click CLONE to Template, and then Deploy from Template.

The new server will have a new MAC Address.
