Update McAfee Agent

if you dont have EPO then what is the use of Agent on your machine... Agent is a EPO communicator... works to fetch packages, policies and updates.

what mcafee product you have installed ?

McAfee Virus Scan Enterprise 8.8, Patch 12.  We need this because it's coming up on our vuln scan this month, we need to mitigate it.  There is a way to disable but to do this across entire domain is not feasible.

any how if you have already installed the MCafee it'll fetch the updates from the internet on standalone machines

any how to deply it you must have Mcafee Grant no. to access mcafee products ...

to deply EPO or any other way centralized deplyment...

if update is not workin then go to mcafee Virus scan console -  tools - edit Autoupdate Repository List - check mcafeeHttp  and if any proxy using then add the proxy then update

Any way to hook the McAfee Server up to the Internet?  Daily updates are as important as updating the Agent

No, we don't have Internet Access, we operate on an Isolated Network.

ok then download latest dat (security update)  from mcafee site from any internet access pc and copy to the system and install on each individual machine

Yes this is currently how we update our clients, but this does nothing to update the agent.

Yes this is understood, we're looking for the updated version for two reasons,
1st to satisfy our Vuln scanner & get rid of the alert
2nd Looking for feasible way to either remove or apply the update Domain wide.

if the system is 64 bit then the path is (to remove agent from the machine if it was connected to Epo and now not connected) (i.e agent in managed mode)

C:\Program Files\McAfee\Agent\x86>FrmInst.exe /remove=agent

or else

streight forward add remove programs - select mcafee agent and Remove.

Sajid, the idea of having to go to each machine in the Domain & go through the uninstall process would not be feasible.  As stated in my previous posts I'm looking for way to do this without having to physically touch each machine, rather a way to either remove the agent remotely using script or simply pushing the new Agent to all machines.  I know that we DONT need the agent but it's not causing any issues for us, so really what I'm looking for is a way to get rid of the alerts it' causing from our Vuln scanner.
