printer won't scan to email with startTLS

hello

we are having some issues connecting our printers with our SMTP server.
we are using port 587 and if configure the printer to use startTLS the connection will fail, without it just.
i tried to configure a receive connector on our exchange server with our printer banding and i assigned the SSL cserticect to the receive connector but still not working.
any recommendation?

Do you see any cert error in Application logs.
this is what i have at this moment
see the attached file

I advise you to create new anonymous relay connector. Add printer IP into new connector and test. For current issue, you can enable protocol logging.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/protocol-logging-exchange-2013-help

I feel, it could be some configuration issue or firewall issue. In case you have any firewall.
hello

so i have enabled the logging
C:\Windows\system32>Set-MailboxTransportService -Identity ex01 -MailboxDeliveryConnectorProtocolLoggingLevel Verbose
C:\Windows\system32>Set-MailboxTransportService -Identity ex02 -MailboxDeliveryConnectorProtocolLoggingLevel Verbose

and yes we do have a firewall, is there any special port that i need to open for their startTLS ?
and what kind of connector should configure a receive connector  ?
If you have firewall, make sure 587 is allowed.
the firewall is already allowing port 587. and for the receiver connector i'm going to try it.
Hi,

From the printer's homepage click the Network tab and then click on Network Identification from the left pane.

Set a manual DNS configuration, set the Primary DNS as 8.8.8.8 and the Secondary as 8.8.4.4, then confirm any change.

Then check if the issue persist.
