Need assistance to update MSXML version - PCI Compliance

I am doing some nessus remediation.

This is the problem that the scan has identified
"The remote Windows host contains unsupported XML parsers."

It has give this solution as well as the URL below.

"Upgrade the software packages responsible for the unsupported DLL
versions or upgrade to a supported version of Windows (Vista / 2008 or
later). Alternatively, uninstall the outdated MSXML or XML Core
Services."

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/269238/list-of-microsoft-xml-parser-msxml-versions

However,I am not sure who I would go about updating the MSXML as is recommended here.

Any suggestions?

Is the "remote Windows host" under your control?  As noted at the bottom of that page, the versions of MSXML are dependent on the application or OS version that is running it.  Upgrading MSXML on the "remote Windows host" may require upgrading the OS version.

Hi Dave,

Yes, they are.
I have a mixture of windows 7 and 10 OS.
Interesting.  Both my Win 7 and Win 10 computers show MSXML 4.0 as being installed.  No 5 or 6.
From this I can't tell what you need.!

I have to admit, that I even don't understand the message.

Why does the XML parser on a remote hosts matter?

I find that I have both msxml 3 and 6 installed on some PCs.
Is it safe to remove version 3
If so, how would i go about doing that?
It is not necessarily a good idea to remove MSXML 3 because it has features that MSXML 6 does not have.  Please read the article I linked above before you delete anything.
