Are Java and Javascript interchangeable here?

I don't want to muddy my other question, as this one is its own issue.
I saw this paragraph on https://playerio.com:

Would the Java aspect of the SDK be as good as the Javascript aspect, - will they be virtually interchangeable? I read that Javascript < Java

they are not the same. The paragraph is referring to the ability to choose different language libraries.

They are never interchangeable. Javascript actually has no relationship to Java. It was just an unfortunate choice of names.

That's pretty much what I thought.
I'd only use Java for my game-server
And, I suppose Javascript for the client..

I'll keep the server in Java, bec I'm good at that.
I'm confident I can do a decent Javascript client and improve it all as is needed.

I already own a Godaddy space, but other experts have made be realize that GD is totally inadequate for phone games.
I do like PlayerIO for these .io games, esp the two I will make first. I have another question concerning a decent freelancer.com ad
It seems fully prepared for what I need in all my games, single and multiplayer.
For my first game, the java server isn't trivial, and shouldn't kill me.
