Java console closes on Mac OSX
When trying to open the Java Control Panel on a MAC (10.14.6) the Java icon appears in the Doc for about 5 seconds and then disappears.
in the console I see

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling several time but no luck.

if I open the Java in control panel it has a a button that says "The Java control panel opens in another window" You see in the Dock the Java app open and then close. After that has happened the button reopen Java console appears in the control panel, but the same thing happens, it opens and then closes.
What is the Java Version? Some where it is referring to Old version of Java which is not able due to which you are facing this issue..

the latest. I have used the installer and reinstalled again. JRE 8u221
Could you please check if there is any other version in the registry. Some thing might have missed ?

This is on a Mac, I have checked in OSX ▸ Library ▸ Internet Plug-Ins ▸ JavaAppletPlugin.plugin and when I uninstall it is deleted.

Open the Mac System Preferences and select “Java” (found in the “Other” section). In the “Security” tab of the Java Control Panel, make sure the “Enable Java content in browser” checkbox is checked, and lower the security to “Medium.” Close the Java Control Panel and launch Safari.
