Azure Restore

we have an Azure backup system fro our server. We have had 2 hard drive failures on a raid 5. I have managed to get the server up and running by reinstalling server OS. the problem now is getting the backup vault and software installed in order to get the data from the backups. Can some please help?

OK,

I don't understand what you mean you have problems installing the application, azure restores are done via the portal.

You normally download the application from your snapshot, then run it on the VM and then copy the data from that backup to the VM.

Or is that what you mean?

All of my backups are non VM. and on premises. I therefore need to restore the data to the restored server.

What is the process?

I have now gone to install the backup agent and all i am getting it an error. Tried the same on 3 servers.

Have you tried to run the agent?

Also, can you check the event log and see what it says in there in relation to the installation

I have but it looks like it isnt even installed

The only error in all the events is this below:

Windows update could not be installed because of error 2149842967 "" (Command line: ""wusa.exe" "Windows6.1-KB2506143-x64.msu" /quiet /norestart ")

Have you updated your OS fully?

Does anyone know how to get past the Passphrase for the azure backup vault? I may need to get past it somehow. If i name the server the same etc would that work?
