Corrupt file in Word
I received the following error on a word document: Word was unable to read this document. It may be corrupt. Try one of the following:
Open and Repair the file
Open the file with the Text Recovery converter
I'm not exactly sure where these items are located in the Office 365 apps or if it will even work but any advice would be helpful.

Was it ever readable or is this the first time you are trying to open in Word?

If you have never opened the document before, try opening it in a text editor such as notepad to see if it is readable. Documents that have had their extensions changed to .doc/.docx incorrectly will cause this to happen, such as PDF documents.
