Surface book, on surface dock, 1680 max resolution
Surface book with dual external displays on surface dock maxing resolution at 1680. The screen looks horrible. I have another surface here connected the same way with one monitor that is showing 1980 just fine. I cannot figure out what this particular surface has such issues. I tried updating driver, installing all the windows updates. using only 1 monitor instead of 2. Also, when lid is open, the display allows 3000 X 2000. The second you close the lid, the resolution changes to a max 1680

Does it work on the other dock and vice versa for starters?

Did try that....did try switching monitors. The original monitors were dell, and we switch with ASUS. The resolution NOW allows 1980 but the text is still very "blocky"...if that makes sense
So do both surface on this docking station have bad resolution, or this surface bad resolution on both docks, i.e. is the problem with dock+monitor combination or the surface, i.e.:
Surface 1 + dock 1 + 2 x screens = no good
Surface 2 + dock 1 + 2 x screens = ?
Surface 2 + dock 2 + 1 screen = good
Surface 1 + dock 2 + 1 screen = ?
1920 x 1080 Full HD is the native resolution of your screens?

On the Dell's, yes, not sure about the ASUS....I assume. So I'm going to return this one and look for a Surface 2 or 3. Is there only dock 2? or is there a dock 3 as well?
