ATP breaking mailto: function
We recently turned on O365 ATP and since have started having this problem:
A very well know HR application service uses this HTML format within the body of the email it sends to users;
<a href=“mailto:department@co ntoso.com” >departmen t@contoso. com</a>.
Note: contoso.com being my domain.
When you click on the email link it takes you to a browser with the following address, which obviously fails to page cant be found:
https://nam06.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=%E2%80%9Cmailto:department@contoso.com"&data=yadayadayada
When I hover over the email address link it shows this in Outlook:
Original URL
?mailto:department@contoso .com?
Click or tap to follow link.
What piece of ATP could be causing this?
