When the iPhone is being backed up, it creates about 70 GB.

iPhone X
ITunes for Windows
Problem: When the iPhone is being backed up, it  creates about 70 GB.
The older iPhone back up, were removed.
For some reason, the iPhone X back up to the cloud is not working 100% and the Apple cloud storage is about 100 GB.
Any ideas?

What's wrong with 70GB then? How much storage is used on the phone?
On my computer with iTunes the phone is backed up when connected for syncing and like operations. The backups are local to the computer and can be restored from the same computer to the iPhone

as others pointed out, you are not providing info that would explain the space usage.

What are you backing up. Email, notes, contacts, media (images, movies, etc.) and the phone settings.
based on your settings, your backup might include cloud based resources being included in the backup through itunes into your local system.

Thank you all. Someone else confirmed what Jackie Man, stated. The iCloud storage is over 100GB and I believe  all the  phone data is being backed up.
