qbittorrent

I’ve been qbitorrent for quite a while and has been working all this time, but unfortunately, I updated to the latest version of qbitorrent…nothing downloads anymore. I’ve always used Cyberghost w/ qbittorrent, and don’t think how that would be a problem all of the sudden.
Being I did the upgrade I do not know the previous version of qbittorrent I had that worked.
When I start a torrent, the status just stays at stalled regardless if there are thousands of seeds. I select do not check hash, and the torrent reads %100 downloaded and seeding. However, there is no file downloaded.
I’ve uninstalled/reinstall the new version but no luck. I’ve tried an older version but no luck.
I’ve been surfing the internet, and I do believe others have this problem after updating, but haven’t had any luck yet.

Mkv is a movie file, right? I did a search on C:*.mkv, and all the files found were modified back in March.

I store my qtorrent files on a D drive in a folder called utorrent, and there is a fair amount of mkv files there. Should I delete the mkv files from the D drive, or the whole folder? I assume I can copy the folder to a USB drive before deletion.

I’ve included a few pics of the settings I use; hopefully I inserted the pictures right.

is there a reason why you switched from utorrent?  I hadn't heard of qbittorrent until you asked this question.
I went back to utorrent, and one small file did download, but 2 other small files that had a lot of seeds didn't download for some reason.

Something bad about utorrent is it's full of junk in the install. It install something called webguard, and installed avast antivirus. I could not believe how difficult it was to get rid of avast. I didn't notice a way to do a custom install for utorrent.

qtorrent is a clean install, and seems to be more of a lite program than utorrent.
I'm using version 4.16 of qBitTorrent (using Nord VPN) with no problems.
I just opened it and I was asked if I wanted to upgrade to 4.17 - I didn't, just in case!
Try downloading from here without your VPN.

The small footprint, no adverts/junk and the built-in torrent search facility makes qBitTorrent a winner for me.

Check out the official forum.

Hard to say what the “fix” is, but I went back to 4.1.6, and this time I sat in the options to download to a new folder I created...not to use the folder I was using for the previous working qbittorent.

I’m now downloading files from qtorrent using Cyberghost.

If you ever see the option to update your torrent client I’d advise to not do that.

Thanks
