RDP Operations with multiple simultaneous endpoints

Hello All - I have a new client who is running a call center for a medical environment.

Each morning the call center employees load up RDP for (8) Servers around the area that are each running Terminal Services. They leave the session open all day long so they can jump from one office to the next without having to open and close Sessions.

This feels a bit Wonky as a technical term - I'd like some ideas - I am sure there is something out there that will allow for a single desktop workstation to jump from session to session with a bit more security.

We are installing all-new FireWall Routers and we are establishing VPN Tunneling between all of the offices.

THanks in advance for your input

Why the need for vpn? Is it in fact 8 sites rather than 8 servers? Or does each server serve a different client?
You can't really have a vpn to each site (client -> server) connected to more than 1 vpn at a time. At the router level you can have site2site vpns but it gets messy. There is nothing wrong with having multiple sessions open (I use a remote desktop client that has several tabs so I can switch from server to server)..

RDP once connected is very secure. the problem is having a rdp port open for connections from the outside world. This is where every script kiddie that discovers the open port will try and get in.
I'm with David to use RDP and, why not go free, with Remote Desktop Connection Manager?

There is nothing available AFAIK to allow quick switching between RDP session which are not open. Establishing sessions is a costly operation because of the necessary security checks, and so cannot happen in a second. However, we use scripted RDP connections, which connect usually within a few seconds. Using RDCM as suggested above is similary and useful if you are connecting to a constant set of sessions, either switching between the open sessions or connecting and disconnecting manually each time.
