Commodore 64 Vic 20 monitor compatibility

I have a Commodore 64 working with video cable and 1702 monitor. Will the same cable and monitor work with a Vic20?

Simple Test: Plug in your monitor. You will require a Vic20 cable for this to work.

Glance over the Commodore 64 + Vic20 specs, looks like any (old) composite monitor will work, so long as you have a Vic20 cable.
The monitor for those was a TV - specifically an old tube based TV.  If you find one with the right inputs, I would expect it to work.  However, I'd expect it to work with the quality/resolution an old Atari game system would... i.e., don't expect a clear, sharp image.
You need pure old VGA (640x480) and most likely nothing newer and then yes that should work.
