how to get a notificTion for a particular email ?

I have gmail and let’s say I sent an email to my boss and I want a notification on my phone when she replies to it. is that possible ??

no Jim. I set that off cause I get plenty emails cause I subscribe to plenty newsletters

Ah, understood.  Here is an article detailing how to setup labels and only receiving notifications for the specific labels that you want, rather than all labels.  It should do what you are looking for.

You have a couple of options.

First is as already suggested, set up gmail filters to watch for your bosses email. When it arrives you can star it, mark it important, apply a label, or add a category. Go to settings https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#settings/general and click on Filters and Blocked Addresses.

Another option is to https://zapier.com/apps to watch your email for a specific "from" and based on that rule, send you a text.
