Strange look of a sub-report in design view
I have 8 sub-reports on a main report. I'm showing two examples in design view here. The bottom one appears fine but the top one is strange. Why does the top one look like it does?

you probably already have that subreport open, either in design view or regular report view when you opened the main report in design view.

no. I checked that. in fact if I shut the database down, re-open it, and open the report in design view it looks that way
It sounds like the subreport might have been added twice to the report.

nope. I checked for that.
Drag it a bit around to see what's the deal....normally it should be one of the two solutions mentioned above.
You could delete it and re add it...if it comes with an obscure name different to the one this subreport is named then probably there is some duplicate...
