Questions on MS Outlook and Shared file
Dear Experts, can you please suggest on these questions?
1. We have a Shared file server which is joined a domain, it is sharing a whole D drive with folders and their permissions in it.
For example, when we map a network drive to users, we will use \\192.168.55.222\D\folder1 \folder2 instead of \\192.168.55.222\folder2$
It means that folder2 has not been shared but edited permissions based on AD's security groups and users.
=> Question: if we share the folder2 and configure its permissions, is there any effect on D drive and other users using other shared folders in D?
2. We have some workgroup computers which are using POP3/IMAP as email method (from Exchange 2016 server). After join a domain (AD of Exchange server), when we click on Outlook, it automatically connect and create a new one Exchange profile.
=> Question: Can we join domain and still using the OLD outlook data file in new Exchange profile? If so, how?
(It is not like create a new Exchange profile and open OLD pst file, we'd like to send/receive email using the same PST data file)
Many thanks!
